It was time to check my skills and enjoy a few days at the beach. The weather began to improve and although I enjoyed surfing at Coffee Bay, nothing better than being on a sunny beach. Jeffrey’s Bay is an hour away from Port Elizabeth and is a perfect city to relax, surf and party. There are several bars in the city and the hostels are always having a good party.
I decided to stay at Island Vibe again and I think it was the best choice. I had the opportunity to visit some friends in other hostels and the best atmosphere I saw was in this one. The surf instructor Kwezi cares about everyone in his classes and helps you surf. Although I already knew a little bit, it was great to take classes from zeroes again and take control.
In my case, surfing became a very fun activity and I tried to spend every possible moment in the water. Although the waves were not strong, it is a moment to enjoy and to be with friends. A sport that I insist you try.
Island Vibe is a hostel with common areas perfect for socializing. After each day of surfing we would go to the supermarket to make a good South African Braii (BBQ) and have some good beers.
