Officially the Republic of Peru, its name originates from the Quechua word that means abundance in reference to the wealth of the Inca empire. Thanks to its mountainous terrain through the Andes, it has extreme climates which makes it a country with good agriculture and mining.
They became independent from Spain on July 28, 1821.
It shares borders with: Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Ecuador.
