Europe

Europe is the second smallest continent and covers almost 7% of the planet’s emerged land. Many times it is considered as a single continent called Eurasia but for cultural, political and social terms a difference between the two has always been specified.

It is the cradle of western culture especially the Greek empire and the reason why it is known by this name. It is said to come from the Name of the goddess Europa although it is also said to come from the Greek word Eurys (wide region) or Ereb (land of the setting sun)

Today there are 50 countries on the continent: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark,  Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway,  Poland, Portugal,  Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Vatican City, Ukraine and United Kingdom,
