Asia is the largest and most populous continent on the planet. The name is believed to come from the Assyrian word “Asu” which means east. Almost 70% of the world population lives in this area and represents almost 30% of the land that’s emerged from the planet.
On this continent it is found from the lowest point on earth as the highest. It is the most culturally diverse and has great biodiversity.
